Ulead Demo removal disables Nero 5.5 RW recognition
For anyone that find their burner does not work properly after Ulead demo download and test.................
Recently had an experience testing and evaluating Uleads PhotoViewer Software. Very nice little application for making slideshows of one Pictures and burning them to CD as VCD. the program however did not fit what I wanted to do and was causing some minor glitches even with current updates for memorex burner.
Anyway uninstalled the program. After installation my Nero 5.5 software did not detect CD-RW's as CR-RW's. Uninstalled Nero Software application and reinstalled. Also remove Memorex Burner through device manager and had windows reinstall that. Problem still persisted! Did a search through the registry and found one line in the environment section that called out a Ulead.ini file. The environment section is used in place of and in conjunction with AutoExec.bat instruction in WinME so this file was firing every start. Removed entry in registry and deleted line from Autoexec.bat file. Problem solved.

Glad it worked for you Green. It is truely a shame program uninstallers are so sloppy.
