MRU Blaster
Some you have probably used MRU Blaster before. Some of you may not and should try it.

MRU Blaster just recently helped me out big time with a problem.

Here was the problem

Whenever, I tried to download exe files with Internet Explorer, they automatically would be renamed with a b4s extension instead of exe. (a b4s file is a winamp3 playlist file).

I myself caused the problem, kind of, by getting netscape 4.8 to automatically open b4s files. Well that messed up my Mime settings a little bit exe files where treated like b4s files. Well I loaded my registry in word, and eradicated everything to do with Winamp3, b4s extensions and files. I figured that would have done the trick, but it didn't.

Also, I tried all the normal things like using purgeie to totally clean out tif files etc. I also reinstalled internet explorer among a lot of other things like clearing mrus with spybot. I even tried uninstalling netscape. I also tried easy registry cleaner.

Anyways, I use mru blaster all the time, but didn't try it at first because I didn't think it was a mru problem, but it was. Mru Blaster cleared out. And everything is cool now.

great program in my book!.
