dig pics
i am so tired of having to name each pic to save them. each time i download pics they are numbered the same i do not want to override previously saved pics with same #. also when i first took pics i did not know how to save the pics correctly. i have the numbers under history date but it will not show the lost pics, any ideas.....

Lightbulb Try this
If there are several pics to download, I will add a prefix to the pic default name. i.e. change the name from pic01.jpg to frodopic01.jpg then copy "frodo" to the clipboard and later paste to pic02.jpg etc.

This may save a little time.

My camera can keep a running number, but in the settings you have to choose it. Maybe your camera has that.

But on the computer they all have unique names.
Example in My folder "Digital Cam Pics" I have the folders Events/Vacations, Mom, Dad, Brendan, Matt, School, etc.
Under each of those I have 5-6 more folders. Then I go through and name each pic with a real name like "Matt Fishing" is the most recent one I have done. Makes it extremely easy to keep track of my pics, send them to relatives, etc.
