Lightbulb this maybe an old trick to most of you
this may be "old hat" to most of you but i recently found out that in IE - in the address block - when going for a COM address - you can type in the basic ( ie GOOGLE ) and hold down the [CTRL] key and type the [ENTER] key and IE applies the prefix and suffix ( so far its just COM ) and takes off.

if there are other shortcuts to ORG, EDU, GOV - i havent found them yet

Some more...
ALT + D: Selects the Address bar (so you don't have to point to it w/mouse).

ALT + HOME: Home page.

ALT + TAB: Toggles thru open browser windows.

SHIFT + ALT + TAB: Toggles backwards thru open windows.

SPACEBAR: Page down.

SHIFT + SPACEBAR: Page up.

Try right-clicking on the scrollbar for various options.
