There are 900MB cds. Or encode the MP3 at lower quality.

I believe even if you use 128K encoding (cd quality) you will still fit 150mp3s on a disk.

You will need an mp3/cd player of course...

mp3s
I have some 700meg cds with 140 rock and roll songs. I even have 1 with 160 songs. Believe me, you ain't seen nothing yet.
How about I put mp3s on a data DVD+r. That's 7 times the
mp3s I can put on a 700meg/80min CD. It's great for archieving and frees up lots of hhd space. These are 128 cd quality songs, ymmv.

I think we should stress that you cannot play mp3's on a normal CD Player. You need one that is compatible with mp3's. Currently most CD Players aren't. And so to play your music on your CD Player, you would still need the music in .wav or .cda format. Which limits you too 80 minutes or so of music. However if you have an mp3 cd player, you can store many many mp3's on the one CD as the others suggested.

Exclamation MP3 Players
Portable MP3 players have really come down in cost. I bought a RioVolt MP3 Player two years ago for about $150. Today there are many MP3 units on the market selling for under $50. These portable units can easily be patched into your existing stereo or, with the help of some amplified speakers, be set up at your next picnic or pool party.

I use my portable MP3 in the car all the time by connecting to the cars stereo through an adapter to the cassette deck. Works great! Since I can get four or five albums on a single cassette, there is less storage space and less to carry around. Unfortunately, many new cars have eliminated cassette tape decks in favor of CD players which will not play MP3's oh, well.

Another plus with MP3 is "tagging". You can read the artist and song title in the MP3 player display window.

I use Music Match 7.5 to create MP3's from the CD's I purchase. I am satisfied with the features and results of this product.
