Scan bookmarks for dead links
I really don't want to double post .... but I thought that this just has to be posted in the Tips and Tricks forum also....

See this post --> http://forums.techguy.org/showthread...hreadid=142307

I have downloaded the program mentioned in post #2 and it works great. You can also backup/Archive your fav's / bookmarks before and/or after you run the program.

Also with Netscape it is very easy to make a cope of your Bookmark.html so after you did a cleanup of dead links and if you just happen to delete a good link you can bring up your Bookmark.html as a web page and then find your link again.

What happens with the 'redirected items'?...and error 403??? What should/can you do with those? I'm assuming that if AM Deadlink says it's error 404, then I can delete it safely?
Thanks.

I don't know but I made a copy of my bookmark.html file that Netscape uses first and then only deleted the 404's I also looked at all of them and did not delete some 404's because I know the site is there but it goes dead every niw and then.
