If you don't like the feel of your keyboard or its response time, you can adjust it. Click Start, Settings, and Control Panel (skip Settings in Windows XP).

Double-click Keyboard. Adjust the sliders for Repeat Delay and Repeat Rate. These settings will make the keyboard more or less responsive. While you're at it, you can adjust the cursor's blink speed, too!
