Online TV Guide
If you're the kind of person who gets up Sunday morning, opens the paper, finds the TV Guide and plans your week, you'll love today's site. It's an online version of TV Guide! Plug in your zip code and pick your choice of cable, satellite or antenna. You'll be presented with a grid of that day's shows. You can view up to two weeks in advance.

I like it because you can search by genre. If I'm in the mood for a mystery or a comedy, it'll show me only those kinds of shows and movies!

Have you tried these;
http://www.digiguide.com/
http://www.mydigiguide.com/

They also support the english channels, but they are not freeware...
So I like to look at http://www.radiotimes.com as it is free, and once again english.

Try also TitanTV
Digiguide was great ... for the short time it lasted.

They stopped serving the USA because they couldn't get enough subscribers and the cost of providing programming information was huge.

Another online TV Guide-type system is TitanTV (www.titantv.com) - they're OK, though not nearly as good as Digiguide.

I just looked at there website and it seems they are only offering it to UK and Ireland.

Did you actully purchase it?

If you did, did you get a refund of some kind when they took it offline?

Digiguide
Yes, I installed the software and used it for about four weeks. It was very fast because the .exe and the programming data were both on my PC. I felt it was very well designed software offering lots of selection and formatting options.

The web-based services like TV Guide and TitanTV offer much more limited information and can be quite slow depending on how busy the servers are.

The annual subscription fee for Digiguide was only $11. I paid it about three days before they sent out the annoucement that they were terminating service in the USA. They did offer to refund my money, but I'm not going to request it. For $11 it's not worth the hassle.

If they can somehow resurrect the service, I shall be among the first to sign up for it again.

I used a trial version once, and I must admit I liked it but nothing can replace the newspaper :P

Thanks for the info

Another one that's really good and free is Zap2Zit (http://tvlistings2.zap2it.com) ... It's got Entertainment news too if that's your thing!! The only thing with it though is that its only Canadian and American stations. You have to enter in your postal code/zip code and your good to go.
Happy Viewing!
