Cool How to bypass virtually all webfilters
Ping the website that the webfilter is blocking, for example, techguy.org, google.com, etc. Type in the IP address of the website in the url box like so: http://ipgoeshere. Then you will get instant access to your website. Works everytime for me. Seems like it's some kind of backdoor programmers purposely created. Use it to your advantage while it's there.

Thats how the internet runs. www.techguy.org is really an ip. DNS servers make www.techguy.org forward to TechGuy's ip of the website.

yep All domain names are are really just easy to remember shortcuts that point to the servers actuall IP address. Ironically enough, most web filters don't block IP addresses.

It doesn't work on my school system actually. Our one looks through the entire page looking for bad language, racist language et al. It even analyses images for fleshy tones and if there's too much, it stops you. We're tracked twice anyway, so if there's something that slips trhough the first server, there's another logging you.

It's not the best system in the world (a freind managed to get into some kind of cartoon-porn site in school). Oh what fun when the Rector found out...

Yea, it depends on your school's filter system...some have learned to block the IP's as well, other's just don't. And others have annoying system administrators who block the sites used to help their problems (this one). Last year, the network admin would ask me for help with computer stuff (because they don't know anything), so I told him about this site, and he used it. Now, they blocked it. Weird. Anyway, some sites can be accessed using a security protocol. (https:// instead of http://) Example, http://timlink.netfirms.com is blocked my school's filter (Bess), because it's on a free hosting service. However, https://timlink.netfirms.com works perfectly fine. (Well, it did, until they blocked it because they realized I made it, and they don't like me. But it works for other sites as well.)
