FAQ

MSN / Windows Messenger : XP Questions : Remove remembered addresses/passports

Question: Have you ever wanted to erase some of the email addresses or .Net passport of people signed in under your PC. Do you want to remove them off your sign in list?

Resolution:
1. In Start menu select Run
2. Enter: control userpasswords2 <<(exactly as typed)
3. Go to Advanced tab
4. Select Manage Passwords Button
5. Add or Remove items at will.

change registry- put icon in control panel-for easier access ?

I meant the control panel this will hadd user passwords2 to the control panel like say........sounds, display, add remove programs.

Try it out...If u dont like it undo the tweakl by deleting the key its that simple.

I can get as far as here.. [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ then what? Am I heading in the right direction?

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{18646F66-8C25-0000-BEE4-C2CE1298969D}\Shell\Open\command]
@="Control Userpasswords2"
------------------------------end--------------------------------------------------

copy and paste into notepad and save as usrpwd2.reg
(make sure not to save as usrpwd2.reg.txt )
next double click click reg file to merge into the registry and your done...changes may not take affect sometime U have to logoff/restart before the work
