NON-pirated MP3
Hey, i just added my entire LEGAL cd collection to my hard drive in the form of MP3's my friends said that the music industry could sue me (were talking a few thousand songs here). Is there any way for them to tell whether a song was downloaded or bought.

How would the RIAA know that you have these songs on your computer unless you are listing them for upload on a P2P interface. If you are then you are in copyright violation whether or not you own the songs. They, the music industries attorney's really won't care if you own them or downloaded them in that case.
