Outlook Express Settings
To quieten my paranoia about losing some arcane setting in OE and never knowing how to fix it, I screenshot all the Options for quick/easy reference.
I have also done this for Internet Explorer and some others that have all those settings that we come to trust and maybe don't know how to replace.

If I post it here, can I dump it from my drive? Think about that and don't do it. It's not nice to use and abuse any system just because you can.

I've never been able to figure out how to do that Franca. That's why I did it this way instead. XP doesn't seem to offer the ability to print from those settings fields.

zephyr, if you want to print the images open a blank document in word or, my preference, wordperfect and import an object or import a graphic. that will pull the gif image into the doc and you can print it from there. enjoy!

err....ummm...I didn't mean I couldn't figure out how to print a complied composite image of the various fields in the settings of OE. I meant, I have never seen where you can print text directly from within any of those fields but I suppose I didn't make that clear enough.

I just wanted to share what I thought was a good idea for people who aren't well versed enough to reset all of those fields if one of their kids does some creative adjusting.

It took several screenshots and some graphics splicing/editing to get it all into one .Gif image. I use PrintKey2000 for the shots and MGI Photosuite to create the composite, but any full featured graphics editor will do fine. It's faster to do than to describe, the whole process took less than ten minutes.

Incidentally, I use this method to store several other arcane Windows and other program settings. A picture is worth a thousand words (I just made that up. ). Actually, it's worth around 200 words, adjusted for inflation, but I digress.

I also figured it would be nice to have it posted here so all can review their own setting against it in times of need. It also makes a dandy backup for me.

Yes, I know how to print the results.

Thanks anyway folks.
