Brissette11:

Belarc Advisor 6.1 is a "must have" utility that everyone should have. It's great for keeping track of the hardware and software and hotfixes in your computer.

I wouldn't say it's a must have, but it's very good.

Those are both great to have (and print!)...and, another "need ta have" utlity is "windrvexp71"....ya download, run and burn the result to CD...it captures ALL of your drivers ,including Windows and all peripherals (printer, scanner, display, camera, modem, etc., etc. Then, if you ever format, change drives, etc., one CD has all the stuff you need (no more, "insert disk 'X' on "x")....give it a look too!

This one is in French, but I believe you can translate the page to English:

http://ufoco.amiens.iufm.fr/Ressourc...drvexpert.html

I misnamed it...it's drvexp17 (a zip file)...if you can't get it, I can forward a zip
