With all of its tools, Google is either really convenient or a bit intrusive.

The free Google Deskbar lets you search Google without opening up a Web browser. It installs a little box onto your Windows task bar at the bottom of your screen. As long as you're connected to the Internet, a pane will pop up with your search results.
