Am not sure exactly what you are asking.

If you want a tool to automatically delete your documents history files, here is a nice one. Will do a number of tasks including wiping your document history. Is called Ki-Washer, I use it and love how it works. I use a cookie manger in conjunction with this and don't use Ki-Washer to delete my cookies.

Windows 98SE:
If you are asking how to remove a item(s) from Start>Documents, select the item you wish to delete and then right click on it and tap delete in the menu.

To remove the Documents command on the Start menu, use Registry Editor to add a Dword entry named NoRecentDocsMenu with a hexadecimal value of 1 to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ Explorer

The information in this article applies to:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 for Windows NT 4.0
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 for Windows NT 4.0
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 for Windows NT 4.0 SP 1
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 for Windows NT 4.0
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 for Windows 98
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 for Windows 95
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 for Windows 95
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 for Windows 95 SP 1
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 for Windows 95
the operating system: Microsoft Windows 98

I have 98Se and IE6.0 and it works.

Safe XP allows users to quickly tweak various security and privacy related settings in XP. The options include Media Player settings, Services settings (error reporting, time synch, remote registry etc.), as well as and option to remove items from the Start menu, network security settings and more.
Safe XP improves your system performance and makes Windows to run faster, more secure and reliable!
It is suitable for beginners and experts!

Click Start>Right click somewhere towards the bottom of the menu>Goto the Start Menu tab>Click Customize>Goto the Advanced Tab>Scroll down in the options until you see the option My Documents>Click the Don't Display This Item radio button -- if you want to get rid of the My Recent Documents option instead follow these instructions (keep the start menu options dialogue open): Look towards the bottom on the Advanced tab in the start menu options, uncheck the List my most recently opened documents check box (NOTE: This applies to Windows XP Professional Edition)
