If you use Mozilla it has a built in pop up blocker that WORKS if you want to block pop ups. I have mine set to give an evil laugh everytime a popup tries to get through!

hahahaha i love the evil laugh idea... I may have to steal that!
Another reason not to use IE: all of the security holes.
Of course, some websites don't like Mozilla/Opera, so keep IE around. Anything associated w/ Microsoft looks and functions better in IE. But Mozilla is still so much better.

The Google Toolbar has a built in popup blocker that works very well and the toolbar is very useful and Spyware free. I think it only works with IE though.
