Thinking of Uninstalling I.E.6?
Perhaps, since it is apparently an option in Control Panel|Add/Remove, you are thinking of uninstalling I.E.6.

Please note that I have only experience of Windows Millennium. And that what follows is only my experience of having opted to uninstall I.E.6.

I strongly recommend you resist the inclination to do this removal. It leads to what is called "version soup" by folk of considerable experience in, and knowledge of, computing.

From what I can see of the 'cure' for "version soup", and you can read for yourself and decide, here:

it would seem a lot less difficult to do a clean install of WinMe, i.e. a format (wipe clean) of your HDD (hard drive) and a re-install of WinMe (including all the work involved in backing your 'stuff' up, updating WinMe, restoring your preferred settings and so on). However about that I maybe wrong.

I might add that I was motivated to use the uninstall 'option' in an attempt to revert back to I.E.5.5 in order to solve a minor glitch. I regret having done so.
