Question How would i find more information about my PC Specs?
The only information i was able to get about my PC was that it has a

P4 3.0 HT Technogly Processor.
256MB Nvidia Geforce Fx 5200
My OS is Windows Xp
i have serives parck 2 installed.
and i also found that i have 512MB of Ram.

I was wondering whats a good way of finding advanced spec about ones pc?

Any freeware programs or tips anyone is able to provide would be great.

Hi masterem!

Belarc Advisor is great. Another great program for this is Everest Home Edition. Also free. I find it gives a lot more information.

I happen to like PCWizard. All these programs are good, but having more than one source of information, especially when tracking down problems, is useful. The Wizard also does its own hardware detection so it does not rely on Windows' results---sometimes helpful when trying to identify a device that Windows can't identify.

And Karen's Computer Profiler:

Yeh, I like it. I hope the 2005 version will be out soon. Maybe Jan.1?

You're welcome.

I have a good tool for you it is a zip file if you want to download it.
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php#download
create a sub Directory call it say cpu check put it in there. Unzip it. Double click on
cpuz.exe. You will get tabs that you will see everything about your own pc. Front side bus, memory, cpu, etc. Let me know if you like it. I was given this by SOYO mfg. when I asked them about my Motherboard. I asked them the same question. You may want to download ver 1.25 for p4. I don't know what you have, this is what I have.
Good Luck Silverado Over And Out.

I have to agree that all of the recommended software above is quite good.

I also run FreshDiagnose v6.80 from FreshDevices at:
http://www.freshdevices.com

FRESH DIAGNOSE is an utility designed to analyze and benchmark your computer system. It can analyze and benchmark many kinds of hardware, such as CPU performance, hard disk performance, video system information, mainboard information, and many more!

It can detail components in: software, hardware, devices, network and internet, multimedia, hardware resources, snapshot and run benchmarks.

Its information level is very detailed.

The one caveat is that while it is free for personal use, you may need to register in order to receive free updates - no biggy for me after 380 days.
