Download Without Installing
Some software (Real Player, for example) is set up to automatically install after it is downloaded. I have a T1 connection here at work and a 56K (really maximum 48K) dialup at home. So, I want to download the software here at work and take it home to install it.
Does anyone know how to just accomplish the download (not just in Real Player) and not allow the install to take place?

Just choose the save as option and burn it to a cd.

With some applications (like Sun Java), you have to select a different download method. The wording used can be "manual download" or "manual install" or "network installation".

download without installing
Problem is, this system at work has a download manager (don't know who's it is or how to disable it) that doesn't give the "save as" option.
