flavallee,

Yes I did fill it up with as many of the extra utilities I thought would be generally useful. The generic one from Win98 and from places like bootdisk.com just didn't have everything I needed.

I still like Madboot. It has fdisk, gdisk (which I prefer), format, and, something that still fascinates me when using a floppy, a graphic interface. It's really the best for recommending to people who are lost on a command line and it starts setup automatically for 9x, ME, 2k, or XP.

Even though they sell the bootable CD, it's easy to make your own from the bootable floppy which is free.

When I tried using FreeDOS, I found that its boot disk with DOS on it was perfect. It came with the utilities, support for ntfs(I think), and many of the commands that the win98 one doesnt include(like deltree).

DRDOS boot disks are also useful. I include aefdisk and wipe.com and I can enlarge or merge partitions and erase drives from a floppy, too. (There are even whole floppy-based operating systems with GUI's, but that is another topic.)

And having NTFS drivers on a floppy is very handy for accessing drives for those who miss the old DOS days and like to be able to manipulate files from a command line.
