Solved: linking
Something I've taken for granted but realized I don't know how to do....in this screenshot, how do you do this (clicking on "here" links you to a site.)

How do I create a link like this (creating a "here" to connect to a site)

You can type in the [whatever] and [/whatever] codes - IF you know them, but it is just easier to just to use the [Go Advanced] button down at the bottom of the window when you want to reply.

On the Advanced page you will see [Insert Hyperlink] button.
Two steps there
1) enter in what optional text you want to display then click [OK], and then
2) enter in the URL and again click [OK].

Without the "Go Advanced" button, I assume it would be harder to do..lets say on any other forum outside of TSG?
I'd like to be able to do this on emails to my colleages. Can you direct me to a website on how to go about doing this?Or does one need to know how to do codes (which I don't)

Really depends upon whether or not the website or tool you are using permits you to enter such code. Many webboards use the same sort of "vB" coding.
See this link.

But that only works if the website uses THOSE codes, there might be others, something that is unique to that website.

As for any other tool, such as Outlook or Outlook Express, or Word, or Excel, or actually anything else, it really depends upon if those packages permit you to enter links with text of your choice.

Look into the Help of that package. You have some reading to do.
