Grouper is the coolest thing to happen to computers since digital photography. Unfamiliar with Grouper? It’s a file-sharing program similar to Kazaa or WinMX.

But there’s a twist. You don’t share your files with everyone on the network. Instead, there are private groups. Create your own or join someone else’s. There’s a maximum of 30 members per group.

Each member can share movies, music and other types of files. You can even share shareware. Group members can download what they want. The goal is to make sharing between friends and family easy. It succeeds admirably!

Oh, and it’s free. You know how much I love that price!

Windows XP is required to use Grouper. You may be prompted to download additional software.

Regardless of whether it's open network or closed network it still appears to be verging on the illegal acts of distributing copyright files without the copyright owners permission so I am closing this thread and deleting the reference to the file sharing application as it is against the forum rules
