Repairing IE6
The ability to Repair Internet Explorer does not exist in the version that ships with Windows XP.

If you want to repair your Internet Explorer, follow the next steps:

Click Start and select Run.

Type cmd and OK.

In the command box, type:
rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\Inf\ie.inf


You will need to have your XP CD available.

I thought sfc did this also? wrong?

Yeah, sfc should do that, except this is faster if you only want to repair IE.

I see,however more and more are sold with an OEM disk and usually it's a "Ghost"/Image. Guess it's sfc for us then or will the above work with those also?
