Quicker Search Tool

if you hanker for a simpler and quicker Search tool in XP this Registry hack will do the trick.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Cabine tState]
"Use Search Asst"="no"

To undo this hack

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Cabine tState]
"Use Search Asst"="yes"
