Disable msn from starting
Hi Is there any easey or sneakey way that you can disable msn from starting up/signing in.I dont mean changing passwords may be like to disable a port or something.I know may be i can change some settings to stop it signing Temporary in but she may just download msn again.

You can use a free tweaker called FRESHUI to stop any program from running, click this link

This program only seems to do windows messenger not msn messenger?.

It uses port 589 and 1683 by default, but the port can be changed.
You could also block this host:
gateway.moswest.msn.net

If you have a router, that would be the easiest way.
To block a host, add it to your HOSTS file like this
127.0.0.1 gateway.moswest.msn.net

xp with a router,the other computer has xp and is on dial up moden.

Then the hosts file is in
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC

so if i paste 127.0.0.1 gateway.moswest.msn.net into C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC that will stop msn form starting?
