I was having trouble trying to get to my Microsoft Login screen after upgrading to Win98se. It kept booting directly into Windows (no login prompt). I'd have to "log off windows" and then I could get my MS Login screen.
I found out there is a registry entry buried in a Real Mode Net location called AutoLogon. I removed this (as well as an entry called SetBySetup).
I can now get to my Login at boot up.
