I have an HP CD Burner that I use to make Audio CD's from songs I download off the net. The Burner works well, but I can only play the CD's on certain CD Players. A Friend of mine recently took one of these CD's to an electronics store to make sure the CD Player he was going to buy would be able to play CD-R's. The guy told him that this cd was not *finished*. How do I make my Burner Finish the CD. What am I doing wrong? Anyone know of some better software I could use that may be more use friendly. Right now I am just using the software that came with the Burner.

Thanks

I use Adaptec's Easy CD Creator Deluxe - although you can't use it to make back-ups of your Playstation games.

The thing is there are some CD-ROMs that are capable of reading multi session CDs and most that are not. When you burn 300 MB worth of data, for example, you may want to leave the CD "open" and then add another additional 350 MB after some time. If you want to do this, on Easy CD, you will be given an option to "Close Session but leave CD open." This is what the person meant when he said that the CD wasn't "finished."

When you make a music CD, make sure that you "close" the CD so that it can't be recorded anymore.
