How can I speed up the boot process? The windows icon is dislayed for 60 sec. I have miminal number of programs loaded at startup.
I also unchecked look for new floppy drives option.

Hi Lew,

Welcome aboard, Besides opting for quick boot [which bypasses some of the boot up checks] there was another procedure posted a while back which I will look for if someone else doesn't come up with an answer for you.

Hi Again Lew ,
Just saw your other post on the operating system forum. You should just post in one forum so that all can see all the replies to a topic.
As you can see, the operating system forum is getting more response on this topic and the suggestions there covered the registry and auto exec and config sys info that the post I was going to look for contained .
