This seems to happen quite a lot(me included) Its the message you get stating "Your Network server denies access. Contact your administrator"(words to that effect) Anyway, it took me ages to get around this after all the tips did not work. It seems what was missing, was a "Critical Component" which you must download from the Microsoft/Updates. You may also have to lower your security levels, which includes allowing Scripting and DirectX. When the "Please wait" appears, close it(ie don't wait) and you will be taken straight to the Updates( I hadn't had access to them for One year!!) Now i gain direct access whenever i click on the Update in "Start".
