Question Solved: Jump Drive
I have a Attache 1GB Jump Drive and I have made an Icon I would like to use for it but I can not figure out how to get it to appear.

I know how to do it with regular folder on my computer (I'm running XP) but I can not figure out how to do it with the jump drive I right click it and go into the properties but I can not find the right place to do it.

Any Suggestions

If you're trying to associate an icon with a shortcut, right click on the shortcut, and select Change Icon. Navigate to your new .ICO file and select it.

If you're trying to do something else, please be more specific.

No I'm not trying to associate an icon for a shortcut I want it to be the Icon for the actual jump drive itself so no matter what computer I'm on the icon appears. Instead of the default icon.

Like under my computer the icon should show up for the jump drive.

Hope this helps.

I dont want it to be a (copy or shortcut) I want the icon to be for my actual jump drive that I carry around.

Copy the icon to the jumpdrive(as a .ico file, not sure if others will work). Then create a file called autorun.inf on the jumpdrive, using notebook, the file should contain the following:

[autorun]
icon=icon.ico

Obviously replace icon.ico with the name of your file.

oh make sure they are not in a folder, but in the root of the jumpdrive. When you are done just remove it, plug it back in and your icon should appear. You can also use the autorun file to have certain programs run or files opened everytime you connect the jumpdrive.
