IE Run Time Error
I am a high school Tech Coordinator with a moderate level of technology expertise. Throughout the school, but especially in my lab, we are receiving a C++ Basic Run Time Error when we attempt to use IE. The Chicago Public School Help Desk has had me run 3 or 4 different anti-spywares, scan for virus, and download critical patches (in case those downloaded from the distribution server had become corrupted). Nothing has worked. This is occurring on IBM NetVista 6792 computers with a ghosted image distributed, running XP w/SP2, IE6. The problem began popping up in early September on several computers in my lab, then several more, now on 2/3 and occurring randomly on other NetVistas in the building with the same image. I've downloaded Firefox to my lab's computers, but the thought of having to add it to 75 additional computers at some point during the school year is one I'd rather not entertain. I don't know whether this is the right venue to present this, but if anyone has ideas, please email me garylatman@yahoo.com, as I don't get to the forum regularly. Thanks in advance.

Run Time Error Made IE Unusable
I posted to several tech forums and received a couple replies, but one in particular caught my eye. It was suggested that I remove Google Toolbar, if I had it installed, and see whether that solved the problem. It did. I'm not sure why these IBM NetVista 6792 pc's had that error. The image was a distributed ghosted one, so perhaps there was some coding that was causing the conflict. I wrote to Google explaining what occurred. I hope they can help; otherwise, I will have to remove the Google Toolbar from nearly 100 computers. I tested it on several computers in my lab that had the Run Time Error problem and the problem disappeared, so tomorrow, I will remove Google Toolbar from all 24 computers in my lab.
