Better than GOOGLE !?!?
http://clusty.com

Alot of people have told me the search results come up better ( More towards topic etc etc )... Try it and get back to me. I think it's the same.

seems a little less precise to me. I don't think it searches as many sites either.

Also seems to have less choice.
www.metacrawler.com
www.dogpile.com

I think those two are better choices, but I use google more often. Still the best I think.

FYI I tried it on a topic I had googled a while back. It beat Google in this particular search. However, that's just one try.

what it advertises it clustered results, much like vivisimo. For pure search, I use google, but if I need to find AAA, plus all other things related to AAA (expos, compaines, ppl, etc), then I use vivisimo or clusty.....

Well, I think (could be wrong I guess) it also depends on the user. After spending how many years now on google, I think I have learned how to find just about anything real fast.

funny story: My mom is threatened by anything more technical than a spoon (and not one of those fancy 'convex' ones, either), and when I was thinking about buying her a laptop a few years ago, she mentioned 'why'.....I almost had her sold on the idea, as I could send pics of the grandkids and all, and she coould do her own searches, saving me a some time.....well, long story short, she told me to go find whatever lipstick Barbara Walters (baba wawa) interviewee was wearing that night, and when I couldn't, *bam*....no sale....rather embarassing on my end....now she COMPLETELY distrusts me when it comes to technical stuff.....hahahahahaha
