Exclamation Faster navigation on Folders
Well, I have this tip on my site (see signature) or click here to take a look at it.

It's very useful when you're, for example, browsing, and you need to open a file or something, of course you need to minimize the window and navigate through by clicking the icons on your desktop just to go to that folder, well this tip can help you.

1. You must have a My Computer shortcut on your desktop
2. Drag it to the lower-right part of the taskbar (near the clock)
3. There you go, there's a My Computer toolbar on the taskbar now

You can use this to navigate through

Drives (C:)
Control Panel

that means you can navigate through all your folders! This trick is very helpful to me and I love it.

I have done the same type of thing but not in the same way.

I have also added to the start menu this for the Control Panel.
Where I do not have to open the Control Panel but can open anything that is in the Control Panel.

This is on windows 98 but I think works on other OS's.
Right the taskbar and go to the properties and bring up the taskbar properties.
Click on the start menu tab and advanced button.
Make a new folder and copy and paste whole name you see here.

C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

You now have a Control Panel listed in your start menu that you can go to and it will have a sub menu that will list every in you Control Panel.

There's an easier way on making this when using XP.

Right Click on anywhere in the taskbar, and then Properties.

Click the Start Menu tab, then click Customize.

Now click the Advanced tab

And under Start menu items, you will see Control Panel there, and select Display as a menu.

----

but this will not let you to navigate through your folders, only through the things on Control Panel

Just like you can take a file or folder on your desktop and drag it to the top or sides and it makes a toolbar there. You can set it up to auto hide too. But you can have it on the top and both sides and then even the taskbar.
Have shortcuts all over the place.
