Universal Lexmark Cartridges?
Hey
I volunteer at a thrift shop, where we have a dedicated electronics room. Somebody donated a Lexmark X83 all in one printer, amd I was testing it. The color cartridge (Lexmark #20) was running low, and I noticed that in our stockpile of Ink Cartridges (100's of them) there were a few Lexmark #80's. I looked on the back of the cartridges where the circuitry is, and it looked the same. The colors were also in the same order. I tried putting it in, but it did not fit. Annoyed, I looked at the Colored tops of the cartridges, and they were shaped differently. Feeling lucky, i took the #80 to the electric sander and grinded part of the top of it off. Put it in the printer, and low and behold, it worked perfectly! Thought that was interesting ! Merry Christmahanakwanzadahn!
