Unexpected Bargains @ the Dollar Store
Can't really offer this as a "tip" !!!

But, the local Dollar Store is now stocking 59" USB cables with Type A & Type B connectors FOR ONE DOLLAR !!!

If you have a Dollar Store in your neignborhood check out the electronics section there are some real bargains.

You can get some great deals @ Big Lots also. Including USB Flash drives.

For only a dollar, you really have to wonder how well they work and if they transfer data properly.

flavallee,

They are labeled "Made in China", and packaged just like the $14.95 ones.

Got a long 25 foot phone cord for a $1.00 at a small dallor type store here in town and that is many times cheaper other places and it works great.

Get used to buying products that say "Made in China". Labor costs there are cheaper than in the U.S.A.

Yup - and anyone who shops at Wally World is already used to it. ;-)

Another great place for bargains is your local Goodwill store. It is hit or miss, but when you hit it is worth it.

There is a Dollar General Store (I think it is about the same thing) between here and the local Wal-Mart. We always stop there before continuing on to Wally World and buy everything on our list that we can get there before moving on to the Wally Store. We save a bunch of money on stuff that way. The Dollar General is what Wally World used to be a long time ago. If I had extra money, you can bet that I would be buying Dollar General stock.
