An old college acquaintance has either finally gone off the deep end, or is trying to prove that he really did EARN those bad grades in everything,...
He won't stop spamming us all to death; nor will he remove my email address from his forward list, despite repeated polite requests. He doesn't even bother to send them BCC, or clean up the MASSIVE list of other forwarded email addresses.
So my question today is: Does anyone know a way for me to have my email address removed from his Hotmail account address book? Is there some "surgical virus" that would do it?
The last joker who did this also didn't stop and wouldn't listen until we all got a nasty virus thanks to the email list he left out there for all to see!
HELP!!!
Thanks,

I know how I'd deal with him, but it would be out of place to say it in these forums. | | Distinguished Member with 2,054 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2004 Experience: Intermediate | | You might consider forwarding that same mail back to him for a few days. | | Distinguished Member with 54,749 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2001 Location: *Random People Pleaser***Sacra Experience: Having fun | | Report him to your ISP and his ISP and to hotmail.
But if your address is going out to all these other people too then really the best thing to do is for you to get a new address and watch out who you give it out too. | | Moderator with 96,701 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: South Eastern PA, USA Experience: Advanced age & experience | | For every SPAM he sends you, send him 100 back. | | Distinguished Member with 6,018 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Hurricane Alley! | | got a program that does that for me, cause I don't have 100 spams just sitting around, nor the time. | | Distinguished Member with 14,194 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2001 Location: Behind my wall Experience: WTH??? | | Mailwasher pro will bounce everything back to him and make it look like your email address is no longer valid. http://www.mailwasher.net/ | | Distinguished Member with 6,018 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Hurricane Alley! |

#10 | Thanks for the site reference. I think with any normal person this would work, but the mega-forward list my friend is using already includes at least five non functioning addresses for YEARS now,... and he hasn't bothered to even delete those!
In college, this was a great way to network our fraternity for parties, picnics, and other events, and he has just added updated email addresses to the list as they came available from the alumnus association,... UGH!
Thanks though.

#11 | Hey jmosmith,
I use " mailwasher free edition and I can bounce back all the spam I want. I would also foward all his e-mail to his ISP and to this federal "spam" address: spam (at) uce.gov | | Distinguished Member with 54,749 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2001 Location: *Random People Pleaser***Sacra Experience: Having fun |

#12 | I got MailWasher too but after changing ISP's and keeping my address safe I am going on 3 years now and have not had ANY Spam.
Was some what funny at first because I was not getting any mail but it was so bad before with the pass ISP getting all the spam I was checking it many times a day so I could bounce it back asap that I was so used to getting all the email that when it stopped I had that missing feeling but I got over it. | | Distinguished Member with 6,018 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Hurricane Alley! |

#13 | I'm afraid my email is through a free email on-line account. I've had it for ten years now and find it convenient that people can find me this way, but as I've described, I also find it inconvenient,... Anyway, changing my ISP won't solve the problem for me I'm afraid. I prefer the advantages of an on line email address.
Still looking for answers, or possible some good practical joke REVENGE!!! | | Distinguished Member with 54,749 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2001 Location: *Random People Pleaser***Sacra Experience: Having fun |

#14 | What ever email address your getting all the spam or email from that person your getting getting because they have your address. So get a new one or two new one. Use one for who you trust and then the other to friends but who may like to forward emails and or talk to that other person you keep getting email from. | THIS THREAD HAS EXPIRED.
