System Recovery
hi,

Just wondering if anyone knew any tricks so that I dont have to recover my system everytime. Maybe just a simple configuration that would make it look like i have a knew IP adress or "run like a new computer"

Thanks

When I build a new computer, I get all the software installed just the way I want it, then I do an Acronis true Image backup to an image file over the network or to a USB drive. This allows you to return to that "clean" state at any time if disaster of any form strikes.

Hi JohnWill,

I don't really understand this part "I do an Acronis true Image backup to an image file over the network or to a USB drive."

Also I'm using system recovery on my computer but I dont really understand what technilogically its doing in my computer. So there is no way of doing something faster than system recovery? Right now it takes me about 20 minutes to recover. Also this isn't "a clean state" software application. It's not system restoration.

Exclamation Faster Way?
hi,

Does anyone know if there is a faster way than system recovery( please note this is not system restoration.) I've been using system recovery because it's the only way my computer runs my previously downloaded programs without any of the settings that I had before I "reset" my computer. I was just wondering if anyone knew a quick tweak that I could use instead of system recovery. Also is it true that theres software that makes your computer do a system recovery faster?

IS THERE AN EASIER WAY?!?:: I was talking to some friends and they said if you reset your modem then the game won't know it's the same IP address. I tried it and it didn't work. I just need a fast way to recover my computer. My dream is if there was just some easy tweak that I could do. Help!
I posted that in the Questionable posts thread here in Mods....and closed that one last night.

Kayle was using System Restore or doing a Recovery, just to play games online as a new account=
priceless!

I could tell they were going to be "Disabled"!!!
