Tip: Test IE w/ActiveX for Parasites
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite - test your IE w/ActiveX as follows:

The test uses Javascript to sequence through a list of malware ActiveX CLSIDs in order to determine if there are bad ActiveX controls in your system. You need Medium Internet Zone security, Active scripting, ActiveX, and scripting of safe ActiveX for this safe test to run.

If you use SpywareBlaster, most of the 380 tested CLSIDs will show kill bits are set (when using REGMON) to monitor the test.
