blind carbon copy (Bcc) email
I am pestered by emails from friends listing dozens of "TO" or "CC" sent with good intentions. These sometimes result in my email being added to those other "friends" lists which always collects both duplicates of jokes plus spam from advertisers that collect such things.
The simple solution is request that all email from friends list me only as the sole "TO" email or to ask friends to only add me as BLIND CC which hides my name from others.

The method to add BLIND CC (Bcc) isn't described in Outlook Express HELP files.
------
Instructions for using BCC (Blind Carbon Copy)
Outlook Express

On the toolbar, click the Compose Message button.
In the To, Cc, and Bcc boxes, type the e-mail name of each recipient,
separated by a comma or semicolon ( ; ).
To add e-mail names from the Address Book, click the To icon n the
New Message window, and then select names.
In the Subject box, type a message title.
Type your message, and then click the Send button on the toolbar.

In the new version of Outlook Express you have to open a new message
then click on View then click All Headers and you will see the Bcc box.
Once you do this the Bcc box will always be there in new messages.

Good tip. I'm stunned that BCC isn't standard for any Outlook message! I use Eudora, and it's always there.

I get after those that forward, have TO: to more then just me and CC etc.

Went I got cable I never even gave out my address to close family because they were always sending my address all over.

No one that does these bad things has my ISP address. Even the web base accounts I have I do not get email from some cousins like I did because I keep telling them how bad it is to forward email.

I have seen 100's of address in some of the emails and it was forward so many times I could not ever read it.
Even using StripMail that I love to do away with all the added junk would not help much because when you have only one or two words on each line it's still not easy to put back together.

---------------
I agree-you got one up on me-it is described in the help menu
but
it isn't under the words "BLIND" or "COPY" only under "Bcc" which I guess is fine if I knew that acronym earlier.
