staying online
i purchased a e-machines desktop in dec. 2004 model # t 2891 with windows xp home edition . i am still using a dial up connection for now when first purchased computer would connect on to my server witch is walmart .com (wmconnect.com) with n difficulty but would only run for 5 to 10 minutes then it would drop the connection i could reconnect but the same thing would happen again i contacted e machines they told me it was something not completed at factory and walked me thru the fix i recently had computer wiped and ran restore disk to begin again at original spec's . so my problem of not staying online has returned
how do i fix this Computer novice needs help

they should have a record of your callat the call centre against that serial number - so if you call them up they may be able to go through the details again with you,

I just get a feeling its a known problem with that machine and clearly they had a very simple fast fix.
