Tired of inserting Win98 Disk???
Tired of inserting Win98 Disk???

Copy the whole disk to your hard-drive, then tweak the registry to point to your C drive.

Here are the steps:

Go to the Start menu, select Run, and type in regedit. This will launch the Registry Editor.
In the left pane, open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SETUP.
In the right pane, scroll down till you see SourcePath. Double-click on it.
Change the path (i.e. E:\win98cd\win98) to your own setup directory (i.e. C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS\). Note: You must have the backslash at the end of your path.
Close regedit.

easier way
hi
if u go to d: drive or so, make new directory called win 98 then copy all the files from the win 98 file on the cd rom in to the dir win 98 that u just made in d: drive
much easier and you can even put it as a hidden file and never know it is there, and never insert the cd again.

later..............
