when you run Chkdsk, the system reboots and gives you a ten second countdown untill Chkdsk starts, I have always found this to long, and have set mine to 3 seconds.

go to start menu, run, CMD, type CHKNTFS/T:4, press enter, now the countdown will go from 10 to 4 seconds, you can set it to what you like just buy changing the 4 to however many seconds would suit you.
