Solved: How does one keep e-mail private?
My brother and his wife share the same computer.

They're using XP Home, and MS OUTLOOK for e-mail.

My brother would like to keep his e-mail - incoming and outgoing -
from the curious eyes of his wife.

Outlook Express offers "Identities" - a minimally secure process. OUTLOOK doesn't
seem to offer anything.

You guys know all the tricks. How can my brother keep his e-mail private?

you could creat another account with the same email provider. Whos paying for it.That person has the right to add another account. that way there both password protected.

How about using webmail? You can simply do your email on-line, and there's no chance of spying.

Of course, one has to wonder why a man and wife have secrets...

Thanks for your suggestions, guys. Microsoft just announced IE 7.0
If new OUTLOOK and OE accompany it, I'll see what features are offered.
Your WEB MAIL suggestion has merit. If 7.0 doesn't provide an answer, I'll pursue it.
Thanks. -Dick S

The only way to keep it "private" is to use separate login accounts on the computer or only access e-mail through the web.

You could store your .pst file on a thumbdrive and take it with you everywhere. That may be a bit extreme.

You can use a U3 drive with your email client on it.
