standby
I am running w98se on an Aptiva p2.Like many,I have had a problem with system not going into standby automatically.I can put it in manually.
Last week while fiddling with my % resources,I took Vistaaccess(a Umax scanner app) out of systray and startup.

Voila. My system now goes into standby.

Thought I would pass this on for what it's worth.

I know,I know,This and $1.50 will buy you coffee at Starbucks.

pedroguy,

Thanks for the info, I think it is good to know and was well worth you mentioning.

I no longer have an Aptiva, but I do recall some things IBM integrated into the system were unique to Aptivas and had profound effect on the stability of the OS.
The voice recognition software was one of those unique items that never worked and attempting to set it up would result in a system crash every time.

BTW, care to comment on any of this?

That would be a small coffee right? LOL
