Lightbulb Best free and open source software for Mac
I see a "best free and open source software for windows" thread, and I thought it was such a good idea that I should start one for Macs. Unfortunately, I myself don't really have anything to offer yet, but I'm sure that someone out there does, so hopefully they will post here!

NeoOffice...version of OpenOffice for Macs. I use it for word documents that I intend to send to my pc, because you can save in the *.doc format that Microsoft Word uses without paying for Word. You can get it here.

Edit: I just read through and found the freeware thread, so I'll see if I can close this one...maybe I should go to bed...making too many stupid mistakes tonight...
