Post the sites you have been getting your supplies from, (good and bad) also the price. | | Community Moderator with 16,244 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Sierra Madre, CA Experience: Beginner | | Quote: |

my take for my needs....if you do a lot of medium quality printing, the cheap cartridges are fine....if not, they'll clog up your heads, and you use a lot of ink unclogging them

I go to Wal Mart or even Target and buy the generic replacement, it's about two $'s cheaper and seems to work good. | | Distinguished Member with 16,189 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Warren MI Experience: Intermediate | | I get my ink from inksell refrubed ink works and is cheap I have a lexmark printer and the ink cost $$$$$$ 30 for black 40 for color is I get refurbb | | Senior Member with 306 posts. | | Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Woodland, Calif. I pay $14 for generic & $17 for HP brand, this is @ Wal-Mart. | | Moderator with 95,979 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: South Eastern PA, USA Experience: Advanced age & experience | | I've tried both generic ink cartridges and toner cartridges. I don't print enough to live with the lower quality and other issues. I just buy the brand name ones. | | Member with 59 posts. | | | | I own a HP printer and get my cartridges at "staples." Their prices are among if not the lowest for oem cartridges. Example: I pay the everyday price of 19.99 for a HP 98 (new) cartridge. A lotta places like Printpal, Inksell, etc;, sells their remanufactured cartridges for this price. I also get a 3 dollar credit for recyling an empty cartridge. Check it out!

Be aware that they are going to discontinue making compatible HP cartridges.
HP is creating "marketing deals" that require retailers not to sell compatible ink cartridges. Staples is already phasing out its house brand of HP compatible ink cartridges.
Also, the 3 dollar credit for recyling only applies to HP, Lexmark and Dell cartridges now.
