Ink cartridges, toners
I know there has been a lot of talk about replacement ink cartridges and toners for printers. If the generic ones will work with the printers as good as the originals, print quality, color and clogging.
Post the sites you have been getting your supplies from, (good and bad) also the price.

i buy from carrot ink online...got a cheapo printer (two brandname color cartridges cost as much as the printer )

my take for my needs....if you do a lot of medium quality printing, the cheap cartridges are fine....if not, they'll clog up your heads, and you use a lot of ink unclogging them

I use an HP all-in-one, I don't order ink from web sites because of the shipping cost.
I go to Wal Mart or even Target and buy the generic replacement, it's about two $'s cheaper and seems to work good.

Went to the site you suggested, I would save just over a buck. I pay $14 for generic & $17 for HP brand, this is @ Wal-Mart.

I've tried both generic ink cartridges and toner cartridges. I don't print enough to live with the lower quality and other issues. I just buy the brand name ones.

I own a HP printer and get my cartridges at "staples." Their prices are among if not the lowest for oem cartridges. Example: I pay the everyday price of 19.99 for a HP 98 (new) cartridge. A lotta places like Printpal, Inksell, etc;, sells their remanufactured cartridges for this price. I also get a 3 dollar credit for recyling an empty cartridge. Check it out!

Indeed, Staples makes compatible (and cheap) cartridges for Epson, Lexmark, Canon and Dell.
Be aware that they are going to discontinue making compatible HP cartridges.
HP is creating "marketing deals" that require retailers not to sell compatible ink cartridges. Staples is already phasing out its house brand of HP compatible ink cartridges.
Also, the 3 dollar credit for recyling only applies to HP, Lexmark and Dell cartridges now.

The cartridges I buy from "staples" aren't compatible or house brand cartridges. These are HP branded cartridges. The same cartridges you get if you bought a HP printer brand new. Just thought I'd clear that up.
