How do I turn my Dell into a Ferrari?
I have a relatively new Dell (Inspiron E1705) and I'm interested in hot-rodding it.

Currently it has:

1.85 gigahertz Intel Core Duo
64 kilobyte primary memory cache
2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Drives
95.12 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity
52.52 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space

1528 Megabytes Installed Memory

Slot 'DIMM_A' has 1024 MB (serial number 1D06783D)
Slot 'DIMM_B' has 512 MB (serial number 0626953A)

Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600)

What can I do to make this PC scream?

Is it a losing battle because of what I'm already stuck with? Or can I do certain thisng to make it faster?

THanks,
bob

I'd say trading the Dell and about $150,000 will get you started at the bottom end of the Ferrari line.

Then you only need $149,900 and the trades.
