CD/DVD Drive no longer in My Computer and showing an exclamation mark in Device Manager, often after installing itunes:

Please note, after following the instructions linked above, it is often advisable to uninstall the drive & relevant IDE channel in Device Manager as the solution sometimes leads to the user being unable to record on the device until this is done. Even though the link is on the Packard Bell site, this solution works on all makes of PCs
