Thanks to DS and Davey for your advice.
My 256Mb strip arrived this morning, so I fitted it and removed one of the 128Mbs and put that in brother's PC - everyone's happy!
I'm now up to a wapping 384Mb and am very happy with my purchase and the service provided by the company.
Again, apologies for the advertising, but they did me proud.

Well, he (reluctantly) let me use his PC this evening.
That's about as good as it gets!

Guys - re Kirkland. I like it -

I've found you by just being nosey, why don't you make up some kind of obscure problem that he won't be remotely interested in then chat can commence!!

Yeah, maybe we could have a thread with a really British-based theme (at least in the subject line). He wouldn't have any interest in that.

Crucial is a good company. I first heard about it when they teamed with Gateway to sell memory to Gateway clients. They always have better prices than PCWorld, or any other retail store I have seen. Being able to input your particular system takes the horror out of buying the wrong memory!

As for trying to keep Mouldy and Kirkspam out of threads, I think we need to keep out of the Random Discussion forum!

Going with a British-based theme will just provoke Mouldy into thrashing us with US patriosterone.
