movie database
A great free database for movie fanatics. http://www.coollector.com

While I have your attention; my wife is a romance novel freak. I’m wondering if any of you have seen a database like “Coolector” for Romance novels? There are a few out there but they want an arm and a leg for them.

Sorry, wrong place.

I know this is an old thread, but I was looking for a DVD or movie data base program. Do any of those mentioned allow you to print out a 'reasonably' sized list of what you have, for those days at the flea market when you can't remember if you have it or not?

We didn’t want a database that primarily required you to enter your movies. We had a data base by Leonard Maltin for our Palm but my wife didn’t like it because of the cramped info on such a small screen. It was not compatible with a PC. This free database, “Coolector”, has every movie you could want, 66,000 I think. There are free updates automatically. You could mark movies you have seen, want, borrowed, lent out, etc, in your own database. I don’t know if you can print a checklist. I'll look into it. It’s free check it out.

I checked Coolector just now and yes there is a print capability. It was added in the last update. They also have a forum for questions.

Heres the Help on DVD Profiler - for printing
Quote:
Browsing your collection with DVD Profiler may be more fun than can be imagined, but sooner or later you'll have to step away from your computer - if only to watch some of those DVDs! When you do, you may want to take a paper representation of your collection with you. DVD Profiler reports help you do just that. Imagine the perfect format and print it - anything from a full-page-per-DVD coffee table report, to an insurance listing, to an expense report showing you exactly how much that collection's cost you.

Thanks for that!

I gotta say, there are no new recent DVD's in this database. Guess I have to add them all myself.
